Rowan Tree, Sorbus Aucuparia
1.7 fl oz (50 ml) - Tree Bud Extract
Rowan, Sorbus Aucuparia
Rowan is a harmonizer of the movement of lymphatic fluids and blood. It promotes fluidity of blood and protects veins, reducing congested states. Its resolves congestion of fluids in the head, restoring tissues in the ear and eardrum and stagnation of fluids in the legs.
Why Lauren loves Rowan Gemmo
This small but sturdy tree offers an extract that is anything but subtle in its actions. I love what it can do for vein health in terms of repair and protection.
Rowan Tree
A mediterranean tree from 45 to 60 feet (15 to 20 meters) tall, it grows in warm, south-facing places since it requires a lot of light. It grows slowly but for a long time since it can live up to 600 years. The extensive root system of Rowan can be compared to the network of our circulatory systems, lymphatic and vascular.
The use of its fruits has been documented since ancient times. Cultivated by the Romans as a fruit tree, the Rowan tree provided with its tannin-rich fruits a reputed remedy against nausea, diarrhea and dysentery. They also made it a fermented drink close to cider.
