The Primary action of Common Fig is as a harmonizer for the autonomic nervous system, specifically addressing the brain and stomach axis. The Fig Tree
Fig’s native land is along the Mediterranean and SW Asia. It grows best on rocky, well-drained soil, appreciating hot and sunny locations, but has been found to survive a variety of habitats. It is believed to be the first cultivated tree traced back as early as 5,000 BC in the fertile valleys of the Arabian Peninsula. Finding a true wild specimen would be difficult today. The tree grows 20-30’ tall with smooth, light-colored bark and fragrant foliage. Fig produces an abundance of fruit in three successive crops.
