Thuja has one known action, albeit critical. It is a tonic for the blood, encouraging coagulation to end hemorrhaging.
Why Lauren Thuja Gemmo
I love extracts like Thuja that have one sole purpose that is performed with quick efficiency.
Thuja
This evergreen coniferous tree is also known as white cedar. It is native to Canada and parts of the United States. It is a small or medium-sized tree, growing to a height of 15 m (49 ft) tall in wet forests and coniferous swamps. It also occurs on cliffs. Although not currently listed as endangered, Thuja is threatened in many areas by high deer populations as the soft evergreen foliage is a very attractive winter food.
The name is Latin for 'tree of life' due to the many medicinal properties of the sap, bark, and twigs. It is a tree with important uses in traditional Ojibwe culture. Honored with the name Nookomis Giizhik (Grandmother Cedar), the tree is the subject of sacred legends.
